1. Who we are
SpeakUPgrade is an AI-powered public speaking coaching application available at speakupgrade.com and app.speakupgrade.com.

2. What data we collect
When you use SpeakUPgrade, we collect the following:
- Email address — used to verify your access and send you session results and service communications.
- Audio recordings — your speech recordings are sent to our servers for transcription and AI analysis. Recordings are processed and deleted immediately after analysis. They are never stored permanently.
- Video frames — still images captured approximately every 10 seconds during your recording session. These are sent for body language analysis and deleted immediately after processing. We do not record or store video.
- Session data — transcripts, scores, and feedback generated from your sessions are stored so you can access your history and track progress over time.
- Streak and usage data — your daily practice streak count and session usage count are stored to support the app experience.
- Payment data — if you subscribe to Pro, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe stores billing information in accordance with their own privacy policy.
3. How we use your data
We use your data solely to provide the SpeakUPgrade service:
- Email — to grant access to the app, send session results, and communicate service updates.
- Audio — to transcribe your speech and grade your presentation using AI.
- Video frames — to analyze your body language and stage presence.
- Session data — to display your history and track your progress over time.
- Payment data — to process your subscription and manage billing.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the coaching service.
4. Third-party services
SpeakUPgrade uses the following third-party services to operate. Each receives only the data necessary for their specific function:

All third-party providers are bound by their own data processing agreements and are required to handle your data securely and in compliance with applicable law.
Your audio recordings and video frames are processed by AI services and deleted immediately after analysis. They are never used to train AI models.
5. Data retention
- Audio recordings — deleted immediately after processing, never stored.
- Video frames — deleted immediately after analysis, never stored.
- Session data (transcripts, scores, feedback) — retained until you request deletion.
- Email address — retained as long as you have an active account.
- Payment records — retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.

6. Data security
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Audio and video frames are processed in temporary storage and deleted immediately after analysis. Session data is stored in a secured database with access controls. We do not sell your data to any third party.
7. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right of access — you can request a copy of your personal data.
- Right to rectification — you can request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — you can request deletion of your data.
- Right to data portability — you can request your session data in a portable format.
- Right to object — you can object to processing of your data.
- Right to restrict processing — you can request that we limit how we use your data.

8. Cookies
SpeakUPgrade uses minimal cookies and local browser storage solely to maintain your login session and app preferences. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking purposes.
9. Children’s privacy
SpeakUPgrade is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at contact@speakupgrade.com.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email. The date at the top of this document indicates when it was last updated.
