2. What Data We Collect

Name and email address — to create your account and send you results and service communications.
Audio recordings — processed for transcription and AI analysis, then deleted immediately. Never stored permanently.
Video frames — still images captured during recording for body language analysis, deleted immediately after processing. We do not store video.
Session data — transcripts, scores and feedback stored so you can track your progress over time.
Usage data — streak count and session usage to support the app experience.
Marketing consent — your preference for receiving coaching emails. Withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link.

To provide the SpeakUPgrade coaching service

To send personalized coaching messages, if you have consented
To track your progress over time
To process payments for Pro subscriptions

4. Third-Party Services

We use industry-standard AI and infrastructure services to operate SpeakUPgrade. All third-party processors have Data Processing Agreements in place covering GDPR compliance and EU data transfers via Standard Contractual Clauses.

These services include: speech transcription and analysis, body language analysis, data storage, email delivery, and payment processing.

Your session data (scores, transcripts, feedback) is stored in the European Union. Audio and video frames are processed by AI services and deleted immediately after analysis.

5. International Data Transfers

Your account and session data is stored in the EU (Ireland). Some AI processing occurs in the United States. These transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, ensuring your data is protected to EU standards.

6. Data Retention

Audio recordings and video frames: deleted immediately after analysis
Session data (transcripts, scores, feedback): retained while your account is active
Account data: retained while your account is active
On account deletion: all personal data deleted within 30 days

7. Your Rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to withdraw marketing consent at any time.

8. Marketing Emails

If you have consented, you will receive personalized coaching messages based on your session data. Unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email or by emailing contact@speakupgrade.com.

9. Cookies

SpeakUPgrade does not use tracking cookies. We use browser local storage only to maintain your login session and app preferences.

10. Children

SpeakUPgrade is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
